- Life span: 25 years.
- Characteristics: the tiger is a solitary animal and one of the few felines to be at ease in water. It habits the forest and is extremely territorial. After a gestation period of 3 months, the tigress gives birth to 3 or 4 cubs, each of which is already bearing the definitive stripes which will adorn its adult coat.
- Anecdote: the biggest of all the big cats is probably not the lion but rather the enormous Siberian Tiger, which can weigh more than 300 kg. The record is 384 kg for a male!!
