Gisela,
was mich besonders interessiert ist, um wieviel das Konto des Tierparks durch den Elefantenverkauf vergrössert wurde. Denn das Eisbärchen, das den Tausch komplett machen sollte, wurde nicht "geliefert".
Oder bekommt der Tierpark ein paar Pinguine?

Der Tierpark und der Zoo haben doch jetzt neue "Mieter", die sicher auch nicht umsonst dort logieren und verköstigt werden, oder?!
Wie geht es denn den beiden "Alten"? Hat Lisa den Transport einigermaßen überstanden?

Das Futter für die bayerische Gäste haben sie mitgebracht, d.h. für das Futter der 3 Eisbären kommt der Tiergarten Hellabrunn auf.

Stinktiere...
Nach 23 Jahren gibt es im Berliner Tierpark wieder Stinktiere. Das in Amerika geborene Pärchen ist das Geschenk eines Tierfreundes, teilte eine Sprecherin am Donnerstag mit. Pit und Kira haben es sich gegenüber der Dromedaranlage in einem Außenkäfig bereits gemütlich gemacht.
Die Streifenskunks gehören laut Tierpark zur Familie der Marder und sind entfernt mit dem einheimischen Steinmarder oder Dachs verwandt. Bei Gefahr stellen sich die Tiere auf die Hinterbeine, strecken dem Angreifer ihr Hinterteil entgegen und verspritzen mehrere Meter weit ein aufdringlich riechendes Sekret. Die Heimat der Einzelgänger ist Nordamerika.

The three elephants you mentioned are hopefully the Asian elephants from the Tierpark Berlin.
As we have been quite worried about them, we would appreciate to hear from you how they are doing after their dreadfully long and exhausting journey.
Please let us know if they arrived in good health.
We have had reports that the elephant house is not ready yet and that the elephants have to live outside without any shelter whatsoever. Surely it is getting cold in Russia by now and elephants do require warmth. Please tell us when the house is supposed to be ready and how you keep the animals safe from the cold until then.

Hello!
Mine nickname in Livejournal - paradoxusik.
Elephant calves have reached normally, feel well. Kids began to be measured, who is stronger. The most fighting - Joma. Now elephant calves hold in different stalls. Tomorrow elephant calves will let out in a summer open-air cage.
For three new elephants have constructed a building-quarantine. The house warm, spacious enough. But this time habitation.
27.06.2009 years have started to build the big House of elephants. Building should finish in November. It is the project:

Rostov-on-Don a southern city, it is located in the North Caucasus. Trees are covered by leaves till the end of October. Elephant calves can winter and in a warm building of quarantine if the House of elephants will longer build.

Thank you paradoxusik for your entry about the thre elephants from Berlin Tierpark. Good to read all the informations and that they are well.
And, wow, it is a fantastic project, the new enclosure for the elephants. Thank you for the link (I have changed the link into a direct link) to the project pictures. It will be a modern and beautiful enclosure.

Hello paradoxusik,
thank you so much for your quick answer. We really appreciate it, especially since we did not get any information from the Tierpark Berlin.
It is comforting to know that the elephants are doing fine and that they will be able to go outside now.
Obviously we no longer need to be concerned about the elephants being too cold. Thank you again for the info.
The plans of the new elephant house look good and we sincerely hope that it will be finished on time.
It would be so great to receive some pictures from "our" elephants. Do you think you will have the time to take some and put them into the forum?
