Ein Oktobertag im Leben von Knut. Zwischen ihm und Gianna war die Lage zwar noch gespannt, aber Knut konnte sich auch schon wieder entspannen. Gianna schien ihn überhaupt nicht zu verstehen. Natürlich durfte bei Annäherungen von Gianna die geliebte Tapirlippe von Knut nicht fehlen. Sobald sie in sicherer Entfernung war, entspannte sich sein schönes Gesicht wieder.
A day in Knut’s life in October 2009. The situation between Knut and Gianna was still tense but meanwhile Knut was able to relax again. Gianna appeared to have problems understanding why Knut would always run away from her. He on the other side would not let her out of his sight and of course, his tapir lip that we loved so much, could be seen more than ever. As soon as there was enough distance between the two lovely bears, his adorable face would relax once again.

Das sind sehr schöne Bilder. Auf dem letzten Bild lächelt Knut wirklich.

It has been very hard and sad for me reading the words you wrote just at the beginning of the Diary:

My heart and my soul still do not want to accept this terrible situation.
Dear Mervi,
your story, as sweet as usual, made me cry for a long time.
I thank you from the deep of my heart. But, please, forgive me, if I am not able now to add more words to express you my gratefulness. I am so confused...
However, I need and I want to believe that what you write corresponds to the reality.
Knut is alive, but, unfortunately, we can not see him.
This is the only means I have to confront Knut's enormous lack.

To all friends who will be at Berlin Saturday: I am so sad that I couldn't be in Berlin Saturday. But my spirit and my heart ( like BirgitBorn, Sarsam,Sabine...and others friends) will follow you in Berlin. I also will light my candle with flowers and may be some croissants from 15 o'clock Saturday and hope that everything will be perfect to all of you at the zoo. Thank you!
