I watched the video about padlocks in Berlin, but I did not understand it, unfortunately.
I noticed that this video has been taken, partially, in front of the Italian Embassy. Why? What happened?

Dear Patrizia, nothing drastic happened. This story is about locks which stand for eternal love. They were described in an Italian movie and showed locks attached to a famous bridge in Rome. Romantic lovers also put locks on a bridge in Berlin. Unfortunately, our Senate has now decided to take all these locks down.
Knut friends had also attached locks with notes of their deep affection for Knut at the fence of the Zoo and also at his enclosure. These little locks, which displayed so much love for Knut, were taken off immediately by the Zoo same as all pictures, flowers and touching notes by children.
Thomas Ziolko from the Zoo Friends simply explained that he understands the deep feelings displayed by Knut friends from all over the world and told the TV reporter about the plans to have a sculpture of Knut erected at the Zoo.
The reporter also told that the zoo director did not give them permission to come into the zoo to show these locks to the viewers. Little did he know that those locks are long gone.

UliS - Oh, what a beautiful collage!
Doris, Monika, SylviaMicky - How I miss our smiling boy, our football player, our Knuti playing in the snow....Thank you for the memories! I'm trying so hard to go on but every day the sadness overwhelms me and I feel all the joy in my life is gone. They say time heals all the wounds but I'm beginning to doubt it....
